Cookies for Breakfast on Boulevard- Continuing Service Project (Mon, August 22, 2011)

Please provide 2 dozen cookies, minimum:

-Must be home baked, not store bought & 3 inches or larger.

-Bag the cookies in zip lock baggies, 2 per bag.

-Put the cookie bags into a larger sack marked "BOB."

-Deliver the cookies to the front desk at First Christian Church between the hours of 10 AM-5 PM, Mon-Fri.

Edmond Mobile Meals- Continuing Service Project (Fri, September 16, 2011)

Description: Mobile Meals needs help delivering meals. Routes are approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour and you can sign up as often as you would like, but preferably once a month for consistency. The organization always needs substitute drivers if your schedule is flexible and you want to help on a less frequent basis.

Delivery shifts are on weekdays only.

HOPEfully Yours- Continuing Service Project (Fri, September 16, 2011)

Description: There is an ongoing need to staff the HOPE Center resale shop "HOPEfully Yours." This organization provides social services and meets the basic needs of Edmond residents who are having personal emergencies or crises.

Shifts are 2 hours and it would be best if you could work once a month.

To volunteer: Begin by filling out a volunteer application online at www.hopecenterofedmond.com. Then, wait for a call from the HOPE Center volunteer coordinator, Cheryl Woods to set up your shift.

The store is open Tues-Sat; 10 AM-5 PM, but shift times can vary.

The store especially needs volunteers Tues afternoons and Wed mornings. Anyone with a good fashion eye is particularly needed!

WINGS- Continuing Service Project (Mon, September 19, 2011)

WINGS provides a Christ-centered community where adults with special needs can live and thrive within an environment focused on personal growth through participation in educational, vocational and recreational programs.

Volunteer Description: WINGS needs help with day programs. The program meets on Tues/Wed/Thurs from 10 AM-2 PM. Typical volunteer shifts are from 9:30 AM-12:30 PM and 12:30 PM-2:30 PM. Volunteers build relationships with program students, provide assistance with activities and help with quality control for the products produced by the program.

Shooting Sports

We meet about once a month at Heartland Outdoors and shoot a variety of different guns in their shooting range. Cost is approximately $28. Anyone is welcome. You can have little to no experience or be an expert shot, we all have fun! Feel free to jump in anytime to this fun group.

Description: Assist physically or mentally disabled school age children in playing baseball games.

There is only one game played on Monday evening from 6:30-7:30 PM. 2 games will be played Tuesday evening. The first of 2 will run from 6:30 PM-7:30 PM (elementary age children) and the second game will run from 7:30 PM-8:30 PM (junior high/high school age children).

Volunteers are asked to be at the field 15 minutes early for instruction.

Hope Center Food Drive Sort (Thu, May 24, 2012)

We are needing around 8 volunteers for each of the 2 shifts offered.

The Hope Center has an annual food drive hosted at the downtown post office. Once all of the food has been received, it must be sorted and that's where we come in! This is an easy project and great way to help out the community while becoming more familiar with fellow EWC members!

Sign ups for 2 shifts offered on Thursday, May 24th:
